Need to Know

Your questions, answered.

Here are answers to the most common questions we hear from Kansas City contractors, owners, and architects.

Taylor Pohlman, President of Avant Technologies
1. When should low voltage be coordinated in a project?

In preconstruction. Bringing low voltage in early catches door hardware, device, and pathway conflicts before they turn into change orders.

2. Are you certified to install fire alarm systems?

Yes. Our technicians hold NICET certifications, and we coordinate with AHJs to make sure systems pass inspection the first time.

3. Do you handle both design and installation?

Yes. We design, install, test, and document every system, then stay on for service and maintenance. One accountable partner from start to finish.

4. Can you work on projects outside Kansas City?

Kansas City and the metro are home base. If your project is outside the metro, send us the scope and location and we'll tell you if it's a fit.

5. What makes Avant different from other low voltage contractors?

We coordinate early, price transparently, and have never delivered a project late. NICET and BICSI trained technicians back every install.
